The McPherson business began in 1980 and was founded by Dave McPherson. Dave was a captive agent with Liberty National and Prudential and saw the flaws in being solely dependent on one company. That is when he opened an independent agency and formed Dave McPherson and Associates in 1980.
After graduating from college and working in the industry for a couple years, Dave and Art McPherson joined forces to form The McPherson Group in 1995 to provide financial services to the agency.
In December 2010, The McPherson Group changed to McPherson Financial Group, LLC and became a full-service financial planning company.
